Eddy B & Tim Gunter - Time Will Only Tell (feat. Young Prince)

Damn, another crazy track by Eddy B & Tim Gunter, who are right out of North Carolina. They have some of the sickest beats with the sickest samples combined with perfect flow and real lyrics. If you don't know about Eddy B & Tim Gunter yet, it's time to get acquainted with them. Check this song out and download below, and also check out some other songs by them under that.

Eddy B & Tim Gunter - Time Will Only Tell (feat. Young Prince)

Eddy B & Tim Gunter - Nowhere To Go

Eddy B & Tim Gunter - Jingle Bell Rap

Slim Jefferson - Short People

Here's a pretty sick track from some guy named Slim Jefferson. I'm liking this track a lot. It's got a great sample in the background and I actually like how slow he raps. It's got a really funky chill feel to it. I have no idea who this guy is, and I couldn't find a picture of him... So here's a picture of Twister from Rocket Power. Check it out and download below

Mac Miller - Futuristic Funk

Here's a new track from Mac Miller, set to be on the XXL Freshman Class Mixtape, which will be dropping soon. I'm liking the beat and Mac's rapping on this track. I'm also really loving Mac's consistency recently with his music releasing. Unfortunately there's tags on this one, but check it out and download below:

Classified - Ups & Downs

Wow, this is a really dope track from Canadian rapper, Classified. It's really unique the way he switches back and forth from negative lyrics over a spooky and eery beat, to really upbeat and positive lyrics over a cheerful beat with the hit of one note. Classified never seems to dissapoint me, but if this isn't your type of song, I'm sure Class has got something you'll like. Check out some of his other stuff below: (No downloads for these songs, support and buy good music!)

Classified - Maritimes

Classified - Oh Canada

Classified - That Ain't Classy

And if you want to see the sickest thing you've ever seen, check out this Choose Your Own Adventure series of music videos by Classified himself: (Watch all the way to the end of the video, then choose what you do next)

Wiz Khalifa - Rooftops (feat. Curren$y)

Here's some new Wiz Khalifa featuring Curren$y. I'll leave it up to you on this one, because I'm still undecided as to if I like it or not. Rolling Papers will be dropping soon, March 29th I think. Check it out and download below:

Wiz Khalifa - Rooftops (feat. Curren$y)

B.o.B. - NY NY

Here's some dope new Bobby Ray for you. I'm really liking this track, but I really think he's reached his peak with No Genre, it sounds like he's overdoing whatever that voice/accent/whatever he does a little bit on this song. But overall, no complaints. Check it out and download below:

Kyprios - Go Away

So this guy named Kyprios remixed a Citizen Cope song for this one and really does it justice in my opinion. It's a really chill track with solid rapping and great sampling. I'm liking this track a lot and I recommend checking out. Listen to it and download below: (Okay unfortunately I had to use this format to show you the song. Here's what you do. To listen to the song, just click the link below and it will take you to a stream of the song. To download, right click the link below and click something that says Save or Download or something like that.)

E-Dubble - Be A King

Well E-Dubble (the huge one on the right) is one of the dopest, most consistent, and not to mention one of my favorite artists out right now. He had a project for about an entire year going on in which he released a new track almost every Friday, which resulted in 47 E-Dubble tracks floating around on the internet in just one year. If you haven't yet gotten his mixtape, "Written Thursday", download it here. And check out and download his new song below:

Noah And The Whale - L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.

Wow. That's all I have to say about this track. This is such a feel-good song. Definitely one to play when you get home from school and just want to relax. I don't know too much about these guys, but I do know that they make good music, and that's all that matters. Check it out below (No download though, sorry. Get it off iTunes though it's worth it)

Curren$y - Frosty

Damn, here's a brand new track from Curren$y that he released to make up for the delay of his mixtape, The Muscle Car Chronicles, which was supposed to drop last night. I'm really liking this track alot and I think this beat is perfect for his voice. Check it out and download below, and don't forget to check out The Muscle Car Chronicles whenever it drops.

Curren$y - Frosty

Neako - Flesh (feat. Wiz Khalifa)

Well I'm a little bit late on this one, but here's a solid track from a guy I've never heard of called Neako featuring one of the most popular rappers right now, Wiz Khalifa. I don't know too much about this track or if it will be on Wiz's next album, Rolling Papers, but check it out and download below:

Neako - Flesh (feat. Wiz Khalifa)

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Irish Celebration

I got the Saint Patty's music theme for the night. This isn't a new track, it's from late 2009 if I'm correct. Definitely look out for some more Macklemore, I'll probably be posting his stuff pretty frequently as it rolls in. Props to Joe Dobyns for this one. Check it out and download below:

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Irish Celebration Download

Various Artists - O'Doyle Rules

Happy Saint Patty's Day from Diabolic, Apathy, Paradime, Joe Scudda, Rob Kelly, Ryu, and Mac Lethal! This is a pretty original rap song over a Irish flute sounding beat. Plus I'm loving the Billy Madison reference at the beginning and end of the song. Oh, and if "Mac Lethal" sounds familiar, that's because he's the guy from the popular video underneath the song. Check it out and download below:

Various Artists - O'Doyle Rules

The Dean's List - Caveman

Wow. These guys really can't miss. They are back to releasing music already even though they dropped their mixtape, The Drive-In (which I definitely recommend checking out.) The chorus features vocals from an artist named Danni Ummel, and it really sounds good combined with the rapping. Check it out and download below: (Oh and sorry for the intro in the beginning)

The Dean's List - Caveman

Pusha T - Raid (feat. 50 Cent & Pharrell)

Here's a new song from Pusha T featuring 50 and Pharrell. We heard the tagged up version a few days ago, but here's the tagless version. I'm pretty sure this song will be on Pusha T's new mixtape that drops on Monday, called "Fear Of God." Check it out and download below:

Martin Solveig & Dragonette - About My Business (Rock-It! Scientists Remix)

Well I'm not the biggest fan of remixes or mash-ups or anything like that, but this one really grabbed my attention for some reason. It is somewhat of a mash-up/remix of a chopped up line from Drake's "Forever" and some vocals from the song "Hello" by Martin Solveig & Dragonette, all mashed up with an original beat (listen through something with really good bass). The remix is done by some guys called the "Rock-It! Scientists" who I don't really know anything about. Hahah check it out and download below:

Martin Solveig & Dragonette - About My Business (Rock-It! Scientists Remix) Download

P.S: If you are having trouble downloading or you don't know how, check the tab at the top of the page to learn how!

Wax - Scrublife (Mixtape)

Wow. I'm blown away by this mixtape. Every song is amazing and there are some really chill tracks on here, and his lyrics flow so well. There's definitely at least one song on this tape for everybody. Check out some of the songs below and download the mixtape Here.

Wax - Red

Wax - Two Wheels

Wax - FAIL

Wax - Not So Bad At All

J. Cole - Killers

Here we go, some new J. Cole! Haven't heard from him in a while, and it's great to hear something new from one of the best lyricists to date. I'm liking this one a lot, and the guitar in the background is a dope addition. Check it out and download below:

J. Cole - Killers

Spree Wilson - Transition (feat. Novel)

Well I just found out about these two guys, Spree Wilson and Novel pretty recently and I'm loving their sound. Some of their songs are so original and it brings something really fresh to the table that's been lacking recently. Spree Wilson describes his style as "a pot of gumbo" because when you take a spoonful, you never know what you're going to get. He's been influenced by hip hop, jazz, rock, and basically every genre. Check out this song, Transition, which happens to be one of my favorites, and other tracks below:

Spree Wilson - Transition (feat. Novel) Download

Novel - I Am (feat. Talib Kweli & Spree Wilson) Download

Spree Wilson - Dreamworld (feat. Novel) [No Download for now, sorry]

Hoodie Allen - NY Is Killing Me

To be perfectly honest, I was actually a little bit disappointed with this new track from Hoodie. I've been a huge fan of his since his first mixtape, "Making Waves", and truthfully I think he could have done way better than this. But I'll leave it for you to decide, along with some of his older tracks so you can compare. Check it out and download below: (Download with the downward arrow on the right side of every player)

Grieves - Lightspeed

Here's a brand new song from a Rhymesayers artist named Grieves. It's a really chill track that sounds a lot like artists such as Atmosphere or Macklemore. I'm liking this track a lot and really looking forward to what's to come from this guy. Grieves and Budo will be at the Warped Tour this year, so it's good to see that he's gaining popularity. Check out the track and download below:

Grieves - Lightspeed

Also, Check out this track that was left off of Lupe Fiasco's "Lasers" album:

More Mac Miller?

Wow. Mac's been really consistent lately with his releasing of tracks. If you didn't get enough to fill your Mac Miller cravings with "Best Day Ever", here's a few tracks that were left out, and in my opinion, they should have been on the "Fralbum" (free album according to Mac himself *see video below-it's hilarious) because they're more dope than some of the tracks already on there. Check them out and download below, also check the video interview from Shalom Life:

Hahahah look at that smile at 1:55.

Mac Miller - Three Blind Mice

Mac Miller - No

Mac Miller - People

Punchline & Fokis - Do It Live

I don't really know too much about these guys, but here's a pretty good song that samples Bill O'Reilly's live T.V. freakout from a while ago in the beginning. Hahah check it out and download below:

Punchline & Fokis - Do It Live

Fat Joe - Massacre On Madison (feat. Vado)

Wow it's been a while since I've heard anything from this guy, maybe all the way back since "Make It Rain" or "Lean Back" hah. Well I'm actually liking this track, it's not the best lyrically, but the beat is pretty interesting and it's kindof a side I've never really heard from Joe.  Check it out and download below and decide for yourself what you think:

Mac Miller - Best Day Ever (Mixtape)

Hah. Like I even need to post this. I'm sure you've all heard of Mac Miller and probably got this tape before I even did. But for those of you who missed it, here's the download for Mac Miller's "Best Day Ever" Mixtape. From what I've listened to so far, it's pretty dope and Mac is consistent with switching up his styles and not making every song sound the same.  Download Here

Outasight - It's Like That

Here's some really dope music by Outasight, a rapper out of New York. His next project will be called Figure 8, in April and he just released this song, It's Like That today, so that should hold you over until then.

Outasight - It's Like That

But also check out some of his other songs...

Asher Roth - Back Home (feat. Chip Tha Ripper)

More new Asher Roth? I can deal with that. If you've been craving some more Asher since his song I posted yesterday, this is what you need. Chip and Asher both spit some great verses on this chill old sounding beat. Check it out and download below:

Asher Roth - Back Home (feat. Chip Tha Ripper)

Oh and Mac Miller also dropped a song late last night called "In The Air" so check that one out below too. I like what I'm hearing but it almost sounds like there's something missing from that beat. You be the judge:

Asher Roth - More Cowbell

So aside from looking like a complete bum, this is what Asher has been up to recently. What he did with this little project is he posted up an a capella of him rapping these few verses, and challenged beatmakers everywhere to come up with the best beat. In the end, he went with this one for the final version, and it will be on his newest mixtape. It samples Christopher Walkin from the hilarious SNL Sketch "More Cowbell" and guess what the most prominent instrument in this song is? In my opinion, the LVA beat to this song would have been much better but check them both out below:

Asher Roth - More Cowbell [Produced by Blended Babies]

Asher Roth - French Fries [Produced by LVA]

OCD: Moosh & Twist - Up Before The World

Wow. If you're looking to treat your ears to something great, I highly recommend this mixtape. Like I said a few posts back, I saw these guys in concert on Saturday night and this mixtape is exactly what I needed to confirm that I am a fan of OCD: Moosh & Twist. You have to give them your email address and they will email you the download link, but it's completely worth it:

Indie Post

This is a post where I'm going to stray away from the usual hip-hop nature of this blog. Just because I post hip-hop for the most part, doesn't mean I can't post other stuff, right? Here are some nice smooth indie tracks for you to enjoy:

Radical Face - Welcome Home

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - Home Download

Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks Download

Citizen Cope - Back Together Download

Bryan Greenberg - You Can Run (feat. Kid Cudi) Download

Snowblink - Ambergris Download

Fam-Lay - What's My Name

This track is brought to you by a guy who goes by the name of Fam-Lay, who happens to be from Virginia. The funny thing is I actually haven't decided if I liked this song or not yet, so I'll leave it to you guys to decide. Check it out and download below:

Fam-Lay - What's My Name

Get Caught Up: Tayyib Ali

Tayyib Ali is an 18 year old spitter out of Philly (is it just me or is all the sickest music now coming out of Philly and North Carolina?) who is really developing into something great. He released his mixtape, "Eighteen" just a while back, and I highly recommend grabbing that off of Datpiff. If you're not convinced, here's a few of my favorite tracks by Tayyib Ali:

Tayyib Ali - Pretty Little Penthouse

Tayyib Ali - I Ain't Scared

Tayyib Ali - Get High (you can only download this with the rest of the mixtape)

Tayyib Ali - Kid Again Download

Feedback Poll

So you may have noticed that there is a poll over on the right side of this blog that asks what genre you would like to see more of on this page. Whatever genre has the most votes by the time the poll ends will get it's own post with 20 songs in it. So what are you waiting for? Vote! Vote! Vote!

Young Prince and Moosh & Twist: OCD

So last night I went to a Moosh & Twist: OCD and Young Prince concert over at Jaxx and I thought I might as well introduce you guys to them since I really liked it.

First off, I'll talk about Young Prince. Young Prince is straight out of Washington DC, who attends college in Greensboro, North Carolina. He's worked with plenty of sick artists like Brenton Duvall, Chiddy Bang, and many many more. He has 2 mixtapes out right now, "Prep Matters" and his more recent mixtape, "WAR" I strongly advise you to check them out and download them from Datpiff, you won't regret it.  Check out the mixtapes below:

Here's a few of my favorite songs from W.A.R:

Young Prince - Strange Times (feat. Brenton Duvall)

Young Prince - Johnny Bravo

Young Prince - Good Vibrations (prod. by Brenton Duvall)

Here's some of my favorite songs from Prep Matters:

Young Prince - Prep Matters

Young Prince - That Feel Good

Now I'll go ahead and talk about Moosh & Twist: OCD (Twist on the left, and Moosh on the right). These guys are from Philly, and believe it or not, they're only seniors in high school. They came with really high energy and their lyrics are on point. Unfortunately, they don't have a whole lot of material out yet, but that will all change tomorrow when they drop their first mixtape, which I'll be sure to post. But to tide you over until then, here's a few songs:

Moosh & Twist: OCD - Black Forest Gummie Worms

Moosh & Twist: OCD - City Kids

Moosh & Twist: OCD - Since Day One

Zion I - Coastin (feat. K. Flay)

Gorilla Warfare Tactics - The Premier (Mixtape)

So these guys have only recently been releasing music, within the last month or two, and they have since become a huge internet phenomenon, and are personally one of my favorite rap groups right now.  Their mixtape is called "The Premier", and although it's short (7 songs) it is definitely worth the Download. Here are some of the best tracks from the album, one of which I posted earlier:

Gorilla Warfare Tactics - Temptations

Gorilla Warfare Tactics - The Tale of Mr. Street

Here's a freestyle by G.W.T:

DKap - Your Mom's Favorite Mixtape

Here's a friend of mine straight out of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  This is his first mixtape and you will be surprised that DKap is a Junior in High School.  He raps mainly over J Dilla beats which is always great to hear, and his lyrics are really dope.  Grab his mixtape, "Your Mom's Favorite Mixtape" over at Datpiff, which requires you to make a username. But it'll be worth it.  Here's some of my favorite tracks off the mixtape which you can download on the right side of each track:

More Loose Ends!
